Background of the Study
E-government systems leverage digital technologies to streamline public service delivery, increase transparency, and improve the efficiency of government agencies. In Taraba State, various government agencies are beginning to adopt e-government systems to enhance service delivery, reduce corruption, and improve public access to government services. This study aims to explore how the implementation of e-government systems has impacted the efficiency of public services in the state (Jibril & Mohammed, 2023).
Statement of the Problem
While e-government systems have the potential to revolutionize public service delivery, there are concerns about their implementation and effectiveness in Taraba State. Challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, digital illiteracy, and resistance to change may hinder the full benefits of e-government systems. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of e-government systems in improving public service efficiency and the factors influencing their success (Abdullahi & Sani, 2023).
